Best Juicers

For All Fruits and Vegetables

The juicer is one of the most common appliances in the kitchen. It gives us the ability to create fresh juice from almost any fruit or vegetable. They come in different variations for different types of fruits and different way of exctracting the juice. These tools can be manually or electrically operated, however, most juicers sold today are electrically operated.

We are all interested in knowing what the best is when we are buying something. Some products are maybe too expensive and beyond our budget, but at least we know what is considered as the best on the market. The same applies to juicers. So the question for million dollars is which is the best juicer? Well, there is no simple answer because different fruits need different approach for juicing.

Centrifugal Juicers

Centrifugal juicers work by spinning the fruit at very high speed. Spinning creates centrifugal force which is used to extract the juice. The benefit of centrifugal juicers is that they work a lot faster. But there is one drawback. They make less efficient use of the produce because centrifugal force is not strong enough to squeeze all the juice out. However, they are cheap and in most cases they are a good deal.

Masticating Juicers

Masticating juicers are typically the most expensive juicers around, but they have few important advantages over other juicer types. They operate by grinding the fruit. This approach extracts more juice than other types of juicers and also producess very little waste. There are single-gear and twin-gear masticating juicers. Twin-gear juicers are usually more expensive but are more efficient in terms of the quantity of juice that is squeezed out of the fruit.

Because masticating juicers operate at slower speeds there is also less oxidation that changes the color and the flavor of the juice. This also means that your juice will last longer and will retain more nutrients that would otherwise be lost during oxidation. This slower operation also means that masticating juicers can handle fragile, leafy greens better than other juicing machines. Some masticating juicers are also called slow juicers.
